If your app runs on iPad — including an iPhone app that's available on iPad — App Store Connect asks for at least one 13″ iPad screenshot. Smaller iPads get scaled versions of it unless you upload their own.

Older 9.7″ iPads (1536 × 2048 and 768 × 1024) are still accepted but rarely needed.
Designing for iPad
- iPad screenshots are much wider than phone ones (3:4 instead of about 9:19.5). Simply stretching an iPhone layout leaves huge empty margins.
- Show your iPad UI, not your phone UI in a tablet frame: reviewers and users notice.
- Keep headlines short: they're read from further away on a big screen.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need iPad screenshots for an iPhone-only app?
Only if the app can run on iPad. If you limit it to iPhone, App Store Connect doesn't ask for iPad screenshots.
What size are iPad Pro 13-inch screenshots?
2064 × 2752 pixels (or 2048 × 2732) in portrait, or the same sizes in landscape.
Is 12.9-inch the same as 13-inch?
They share 2048 × 2732, which is accepted in the 13″ slot. 2064 × 2752 is the newer 13″ iPad Pro and iPad Air size.
